Storage Time
Up to 2 years in the pantry when stored correctly; cooked fusilli pasta lasts 3–4 days in the refrigerator.
Temperature
Store dry fusilli pasta in a cool, dry place, ideally between 15–21°C (59–70°F).
Freezing
Cooked fusilli pasta can be frozen for longer storage. Allow cooked pasta to cool completely, then portion it into airtight containers or freezer bags, removing as much air as possible. To thaw, transfer frozen pasta to the refrigerator overnight or reheat directly from frozen in a saucepan with a little water or sauce. Freezing may slightly alter the texture, making it a bit softer upon reheating.
Signs of Spoilage
- Presence of mold or discoloration on the dry pasta.
- A stale or musty odor emanating from the package.
