Deliciously versatile rice balls, whether plain, seasoned, or filled, offer a delightful culinary experience. Proper storage is key to preserving their texture and flavor, ensuring safe enjoyment for days to come.
Storage Time
3–4 days in the refrigerator, up to 2–3 months in the freezer.
Temperature
Store cooked rice balls in the refrigerator at or below 4°C (40°F).
Freezing
To freeze rice balls, allow them to cool completely. Wrap each ball individually in plastic wrap or parchment paper, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container. This prevents freezer burn and maintains quality. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or gently reheat from frozen in a low oven or microwave.
