Storage Time
2–3 days at room temperature, 4–5 days in the refrigerator, up to 2 months in the freezer
Temperature
Store at room temperature (18-22°C) or refrigerated (0-4°C) for extended freshness.
Freezing
Chocolate donuts freeze exceptionally well, preserving their taste and texture. Wrap each donut individually in plastic wrap, then place them in an airtight freezer bag or container. To thaw, remove from the freezer and let them come to room temperature for about 30-60 minutes. For a slightly crisper texture, you can briefly warm them in a low oven (around 150°C) for a few minutes after thawing.
Signs of Spoilage
- Visible mold growth, often appearing as fuzzy white, green, or black spots.
- An off, sour, or stale odor that is distinctly unpleasant.
- A hard, dry, or overly chewy texture that indicates staleness.
