Enjoy perfectly crispy fried zucchini, a delightful appetizer or side dish. Proper storage is key to maintaining its delicious texture and flavor, preventing sogginess and spoilage.
Storage Time
3–4 days in the refrigerator, up to 2–3 months in the freezer for best quality.
Temperature
Store refrigerated at or below 4°C (40°F).
Freezing
To freeze fried zucchini, allow it to cool completely. Place individual pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze until solid, then transfer to an airtight container or freezer bag. This prevents them from sticking together. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or gently reheat in an oven or air fryer to restore crispness. Note that the texture may be slightly softer after freezing.
Signs of Spoilage
- Slimy or mushy texture, indicating bacterial growth.
- Offensive or sour odor, a clear sign of spoilage.
- Visible mold growth, which can appear as fuzzy spots of various colors.
