Enjoy the wholesome goodness of bran muffins, a delicious and fiber-rich breakfast or snack option. Properly stored, these hearty baked treats can maintain their delightful texture and flavor for extended periods.
Storage Time
3–4 days at room temperature, up to 7 days in the refrigerator, and 2–3 months in the freezer.
Temperature
Store at room temperature (18-22°C) or refrigerate at 0-4°C for extended freshness.
Freezing
Bran muffins freeze exceptionally well. For optimal quality, wrap each muffin tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container. To thaw, remove from the freezer and let them come to room temperature for a few hours, or gently reheat in a low oven (150°C) for 5-10 minutes to restore their fresh-baked appeal. Freezing may slightly alter the texture, making them a bit denser upon thawing.
Signs of Spoilage
- Visible mold growth (fuzzy spots of various colors)
- A sour or off odor, distinct from their usual baked aroma
- A slimy or sticky texture on the surface
